Sometimes less is more.
That’s how I’ve felt during this eclipse season.
It’s created a tornado of emotions and experiences that have simplify everything.
The long-winded proposal. The detailed agenda. The complex birthday celebration.
All landed with a sense of simplicity that only comes from asking deeper questions such as:
What is most important?
What is most manageable?
What feels the most do-able?
What feels the most potent?
What feels the most simple?
The eclipse energy has felt like I’ve been in the middle of a swirl.
The thoughts, feelings, emotions have been all over the place.
And, when I take the time to sit in the middle and see them swirling-I find clarity.
The eye of the storm.
Going to where it feels the most juicy and rich.
That’s the simplicity I’m talking about.
Getting right to the core of it.
It’s a refined feeling.
It’s a distilled feeling.
It’s everything is considered yet only keeping the most important parts.
That’s shown up in revised proposals, revised three-day working session, and a birthday celebration that was simple yet the most meaningful.
It was my partner’s birthday on August 19th.
He’s not one to like to celebrate birthdays so I listen to him and his desires.
I thought of him and what would mean a lot to him–it’s nothing loud, over-the-top and instead he appreciates quality over quantity.
This surprise for him–the silver banner, clear balloons, one nice gift, a sushi dinner.
He said that it was the sweetest, most meaningful thing anyone has ever done for him.
That’s the beauty of simplicity.
Refining until you’ve found the core; the gem; the intention.
I’m in the era of simple honesty and truth.
To be honest, it’s a bit unchartered territory for me.
But, I am loving being here already.
